We’ve spent over a year on the road testing the overland gear we have and comparing our setup to those we meet. I’ve noticed several common overland gear items like ARB Awnings, Hi-Lift Jacks and Rotopax Jerry Cans. I’ve also noticed almost everyone has at least one unnecessary or luxury piece of overland gear (Stand-Up Paddleboard). Everyone travels differently and space is at a premium so it’s up to you to decide what constitutes must-have overland gear (coffee grinder), and what should be left behind.
