Somehow setting up camp on the sidewalk, taking showers at a nearby pescaderia, and sharing meals and drinks in the town center, seemed acceptable.
Mainland Mexico is big and we had plans to meander down the coast, drive to its center, return to the western coast, and finally loop-de-loop to the far-east corner where we would cross into Belize.
While sharing beers with the orange delivery trucker on the ferry to Mazatlán I felt weird. Not weird because it’s kinda odd to drink with a trucker on a cargo ship headed for Sinaloa, Mexico. Weird because my stomach was about to send me on a night to remember.

After our mud adventure too much happened in Baja to fit in a single blog entry, but I’m going to do it anyway. I read somewhere that you should post regularly to build an audience and avoid losing readers…good thing nobody reads this crap.
Today we cross the border and head south for what feels like an intimidating amount of time. In this moment we finally feel the weight of our decision, or we haven’t had our coffee and it’s just too damn early. Either way, today is the day we get this show on the road.
